Indigenous Roots

Meet the Founder

Driven by her respect for people and the planet, Andréanne (Anne) Mulaire Dandeneau founded the sustainable and size-inclusive fashion brand, Anne Mulaire. Rooted in her Anishinaabe/ French Métis from the Red River Nation on treaty 1, Anne creates nature-inspired clothing on Treaty 1 territory, honoring Canada’s French, Indigenous, and Métis cultures.

Anne Mulaire was founded with a commitment to sustainability, quality, and heritage. From the beginning, our mission has been to create fashion that respects both people and the planet. We strive to produce timeless pieces that are not only stylish but also environmentally responsible.

"Since the beginning, my mission has always been to create fashion that honors the earth, preserves heritage, and empowers every body." -Anne

Positive Social & Environmental Impact

At Anne Mulaire, we honor sustainability, quality, and heritage. Our timeless designs are not just fashion—they’re a commitment to people and the planet, blending style with responsibility to shape a more ethical future.

Eco-Friendly Materials:

We source high-quality, eco-friendly fabrics from Canada, including OCIA Certified bamboo and organic cotton, and Tencel from FSC-certified forests. All our fabrics are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and AZO dye-free, ensuring they are safe for both people and the planet. We've proudly partnered with our mill manufacturers for over 10 years.

Innovative Research:

We’re developing recycled textiles through innovative research, strategic partnerships, and biodegradability studies. This fall, we’re launching our first recycled product, aiming to advance sustainable materials and contribute to a circular economy.

Local Production:

Our locally-made garments support fair wages and reduce our carbon footprint. We champion zero-waste practices, upcycling scraps, and offer a take-back program to foster sustainability and reduce textile waste.

Anne Mulaire’s supply chain generates 65% fewer Green House Gas emissions and covers only 1/10 of the miles traveled compared to other brands.
